I totally agree that marks do matter in this competitive world but, marks also underestimates so many talented and imaginative people by defining intelligence through marks. In a class  the toppers are applauded while the rest who didn’t get good marks or fail are forgotten.

A person’s imagination can lead him/her to great heights but along with that one should know how to get back up when one fails. An example of this is Abram Lincoln, 16th President of the United States. He was a champion of equal rights, and he blazed a trail towards the freedom of slaves in America. But Lincoln didn’t start out as a success story. He failed numerous times before attaining the highest office in the land. Of course, through all the personal, business and political failures, Lincoln didn’t give up and after a time he was elected as the President.

The society should start looking beyond grades to promote better learning.  From my point of view, reading and writing does not wholly define the word ‘education’. Education is a guiding force helping one to build its imagination and creativity.

So, if you feel let down by that sheet of paper always remember that there is day after every night.

  6. I’m amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both educative
and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head.
The problem is something that too few folks are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy I came across this in my hunt for something concerning this.
